I have seen a resurgence of the “Jack and Kate are Adam and Eve Skeletons” theory on several LOST sites. Although someone somewhere must have pointed this detail out before, I will restate what I believe to be the obvious: The Adam skeleton found by the survivors in the caves is not Jack.
The skeleton cannot be Jack, for the simple reason that Jack touches each skeleton.
We learned from the Pierre Chang video bunny fiasco that it would be very, very bad news if one object (bunny or person) were to travel through time and touch it’s future or past counterpart. We know this because Pierre Chang freaks out when the two bunnies are in the same space, demanding the two not be allowed to touch.
Therefore, whoever is Adam or Eve should be unable to touch his or her own past body, and cannot be allowed to come into contact with the skeleton. Any other person seen touching the skeletons (both, to make sure he or she touches the appropriate gender) should also be taken out of the running.
