Hello again. This theory is about Dharma and their path to save themselves. I recently rewatched season 2 and saw a few interesting things, that explain some events in later seasons. And I will talk about them.
Okay, we all suggest, that Daniel Faraday is the cameraman in the Chang's video. Well, in Live Together, Die Alone we can see a small thing, which commites a fact, that Dharma now have a rescuer, like Faraday. Watch for hands (I didn't remember their words exactly):
Kelvin: "I suggest you are him."
Desmond: "What?"
And now we all know what he mentioned in "him". Just a couple of time before Purge Dharma had a savior, a man who can lead them into future - because he knows all future events. And the only man, who can do this is Faraday. By the way, I didn't remember if Faraday said this joke about carrot (which is actually a password to recognize him), so if you do, write in comments.
The second thing is that Dharma knew that Purge was unstoppable. So, Chang decided to film orientation films, that are different from original. For what? Just because to lead John Locke in the wrong path, to help reunited Dharma find the Island. The anomaly was once registered because of explosion in the hatch, remember? Maybe only one Orientation film, from the Perl station, was different from the original.
And the third. I definitely think that history on Island is going in circles. Black Rock crashed: some stayed (The Others), some decided to go away (Hanso and company). Oceanic 815 crashed: some stayed, some decided to go away (Oceanic 6). There was no crash before Black Rock's, because the circle of time is very long and humanity began to build ships, that can cover long distances, not so very long, just about 300 years ago. The Rock crashed in 1800's, so there was no such a ship 200 years before. Why 200 years? Because Oceanic 815 crashed in 2004.
So, Dharma cannot change the future, but they decided to...stop this circle with Faraday. And in season 5, I hope, we'll figure out was it succesful or not. Good luck in revealing Lost mysteries!
