I think that the island is constantly moving in the future, past, and present. Here's why.
1. Sayid said when meeting Rousseau that Nadia was dead, when in fact he met her after he got off the island.
2. The looking glass station is able to communicate with the past/future and see it too, but how can it without a connection. Either it's very strange, it was specially made, or Dharma made the station as an experiment since time travel was heir objective.
3. Also in the s4 finale, the islanders on the beach were trying to figure out who the man was that washed up on shore until Daniel Faraday (one of the people on the freighter) said that it was the doctor. Later, we see on the freighter that the doctor is still on board. (coincidence or impostor) Then Kiwi(the leader of the army group invading the island) slits the doctor's throat and throws him overboard, which is exactly what happened to the "doctor" who washed up on shore. (Another coincidence?)
As you can see the island may be connected to time travel. And there is reason to believe that the looking glass station is connected to some kind of brain wave trajectory.
Hope you can consider my theory and maybe make another theory as a sequel to this one. THANK YOU!
