We've now seen that when someone who's experiencing time shifts and does not have a constant, they begin to have nosebleeds and then eventually die of a cerebral hemmorage. This happened to Minkowski, Eloise the Rat and was about to happen to Desmond before he made contact with Penny.
But we've also seen nosebleeds happen to other people as well. Claire got a bad one in "One of Us" after Juliet triggered the device that Ethan had previously implanted in Claire. Roger Linus got a bad one right before he died when Ben opened the gas canister, as well as every single member of the DI who died in the purge, they all had nosebleeds.
So my question is this, do the nosebleeds mean that Claire, Roger and the DI people were experiencing time shifting?
Remember, Claire lost her memory for a significant amount of time, just like Desmond did after the first helicopter flight in "The Constant."
Claire took the "vaccine". So did Desmond. And so did Charlie (he tested it on himself before handing it to Claire).
Is this the same as the "tranquilizer" Juliet took before she traveled to the island?
Here's another question for you all:
We now know that Eko, Charlie & Locke all appear off island in the flash forwards. They also all eventually die. What do they all have in common?
They all were present in the Swan when it imploded. We saw that Desmond time traveled when he turned the key. I think they all did too. And they have to die because the universe is course correcting things to prevent the time traveling versions of Eko, Charlie & Locke from meeting the other versions of them in the past. But Desmond isn't dead, you might say. Not yet. Just wait for the Ben, Penny & Desmond story to get underway.
