alright so this counts as both prediction, and theory. The sense of it lies in weather you've seen this infamous comic con 08 vid. Brief synopsis is that basically we have a video, man from orientation videos appears, claims his real name is Pierre Chang, (spelling may need checking), And also claims he's privy to events yet to occur in his lifetime as the time of the taping of the video, also claims this video is being sent through a "pin hole" which in my mind means its being broadcast into the future in what would be his "real time". Video is interrupted by camera man, and unless you are tone deaf, or any other deaf than you would know that it's Daniel Faraday. So here's my theory:
Daniel Faraday is currently in between the freighter and the Island. When the island went all Ka-Bloom/lightshow on us Faraday and company were sent 30 years back. Now the way i see it all space for a certain amount of miles away from the island works like layers of an onion. Only instead of sulphuric goodness, its layers of time. So the island and everyone on it were sent someplace 2 years ahead, those on the copter didn't go anywhere, and the freighter was in closer proximity to Faraday than the chopper.
When the freighter blew, Jin being the one closest to the edge was thrown off by the blast and Faraday picked him up, bloodied and battered. He begins to go back to the island to find some medical assistance. When they reach the island they notice the makeshift survivors camp is no longer there, but a bunch of brown jumpsuit wearing mofos just as confused as our raft people. So They gather up the crew to bring them to their cheif doctor, a Dr. Pierre Chang, but he``s in the middle of making a new orientation video one that is interrupted, but this particular take is saved. Flash forward to 2005 and Mr.Widmore brings sun to a special warehouse full of Dharma box`s, it hear he tells sun to stop asking where her husband is, but when, and shows her the tape that was made 30 years ago, thus begins Sun`s relationship with Widmore, one which will cause Sun to become to Widmore, what Sayid is to Ben.
