I was reading the Lost Island=Neverland post and I was inspired. Well actually, I have been saying this for a while.
Time moves faster in Narnia than in the real world. So if when the books were written it was around the 1940's (and Narnia was in medieval times), it could make sense that it is right around present day now. This would also explain how time moves different on the island.
This can also explain the different animals (polarbears, horses). They may be what is left over from the Narnia that we recognize from the books.
Last, the hostiles(referring to the group of people who were there before the Dharma Initiative arrived) may actually be Narnians(most likely Telmarines)
Charlotte Staples Lewis. It is a fact that her name was based on the Narnia writer(C.S Lewis). If you recall, she told Faraday she was still looking for the place she was born. Was she born in Narnia and then some how fell through the "Wardrobe"?
I put "Wardrobe" in parenthesis for a reason. In the episode, The Shape of Things to Come, Ben goes through a secret closet, pushing coats out of his way as he passes, and goes through a secret door(this all very much resembles The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe). Could this possibly be the "Wardrobe"?
*Note: The glyphs on the door also roughly translate "to summon protection..."(this one of the things Susan's horn is used for)*
