I’ll start with Benjamin. For me Benjamin knew that the Oceanic will fall down. Because u remember (as I remember) at the beginning of the 2nd season, when Benjamin and the other saw the flight is falling down, Benjamin send somebody to crash said that; “I want lists in three days…” He didnt say survivors, dead or injured. He said list so he definitely knew that there are people who are alive. How can it be? Benjamin also can control the Blacksmoke (we saw it in season 4 episode 9, after Alex died Benjamin went down somewhere under his home and then Blacksmoke came “also when Blacksmoke caught Locke it was triyn to get Locke under the surface”). Benjamin also can control that if Desmond pushing the “Execute” for the numbers, he got a call (we saw it in season 4 episode 9, when Alex typed the numbers for the security circle, they got a call saying Code 15J) saying that Desmond didnt push the Execute and Benjamin send Blacksmoke to Oceanic to land the “Privat! e” passengers in safe.(in the 1st season 1st episode, when Jack wake up we saw the Blacksmoke in Jack’s eyes).(important!!!)> In the first episode, at the crash scene we can see Blacksmoke in everywhere, for example 3‘12” u can see it over the ocean, 3‘36” u can see it over the wing while Jack is lookin at it, 5‘01” when man goes in to engine it is Blacksmoke and just as the engine explodes Blacksmoke is going over it. And after they first hear the Blacksmoke Rose says; “there’s something familiar in it(the voice)”because she heard it before.Blacksmoke was the one who brought them and crashed the plane. Watch again the scenes, but attention please it is so fast!!!! Also we know that there is time difference between the island and ocean or ext. (we saw it when Faraday wanted a Rocket from the ship) Maybe Benjamin got the signal that there is plane coming to the island he send the Blacksmoke. Lets say something about Blacksmoke. In my opinion when Jac! k saw his father on the island he was Blacksmoke. When Hurley ! saw his imaginery bald friend from the hospital he was also Blacksmoke .When Mr.Eko saw his brother he was Blacksmoke. So Blacksmoke can be somebody if he wants. In season 4 episode 9 and 10 Jack saw his father in the hospital he was also Blacksmoke(the proof of this is the smoke detector was beeping!!!!)Hurley sees Charlie and he was also Blacksmoke.
Everybody has connections before they crashed into the island. Maybe Blacksmoke provided that the people have connections to come into island.
