One thing that continues to bother me is the conjecture that you read all over the web about Cooper having to be Locke’s father because he was a match for a kidney donation. I just can’t get over how many avid fans of the show are so easily sucked in by the Lost slight of hand. Lost continually gets you to jump to the conclusion that they want you to and ignoring the things that really matter. For those that want to continue to disagree with me, I suppose that you really think that Teller can catch the bullet fired out of Penn’s gun in his teeth.
I have been thinking about Locke’s paternity and it is pretty clear that Cooper is likely not his father. He is in no way old enough to have been 30ish when John was born. The only think that people can hang their hat on is the kidney. I have been thinking about this kidney and I think I have figured out the slight of hand.
Cooper and Locke are shown pre-opt at St. Sebastian Hospital. When Locke wakes up after surgery, the nurse informs him that Cooper is gone. Cooper will not see him when Locke goes to Cooper’s house. How do we know Cooper received a kidney? Locke does not see him after he goes under for the surgery. I know the skeptics are says, “They were at a hospital. You think the hospital faked it?”
Well now that you ask, yes I do think the surgery was a faked. If Jacob and company were going to fake a surgery, where would they do it? I would guess that it would be done at a hospital where the Chief of Staff was in your pocket. Christian Shephard was running the show at St. Sebastian. If a surgery were to be faked, this would be the ideal place to do it.
Who is Cooper? We see Cooper in 3 places: messing up Mr. Ford’s life leading to murder/suicide, with Locke in the years before the crash, and on the island where he is killed. Is it possible that Cooper was working for the Jacob group, making sure Sawyer’s father and mother were killed for some reason yet to be revealed, making sure Locke’s kidney was gone (so the bullet Ben fires hits no major organs) and making sure Locke is put in the wheel chair and manipulated to go on the walk about? Could Cooper have already been back on the island when the plane can down and Ben just made it look like he had been brought to the island?
