After last nights episode, I believe that Locke did not blow up the sub. He was wet when he was caught by the others at the end of the dock after planting the C4. Why was he wet? They showed him entering the sub, knowing exactly where the light switch was. The next time they show him he is at the beginning of the dock, soaking wet, and there is no trace of the top of the sub in the background as before when they showed him walking towards it. He didn’t blow it up, he submerged it, or moved it, swam back to the dock, planted the C4 on the dock and that was what the explosion was.When Jack,Juliet and the others arrived Jack looked sweaty, like it had been a long walk to the dock. It seems John would have had enough time to move the sub and swim back.We know that Locke was into games big time. He played Risk, or some war game with a co worker when he worked at the box factory, he also worked at a Toy store. He could have been able to navigate the sub because of playing simulated war games,computer submarine war games, or perhaps he was in the military and we just haven’t seen the evidence of that yet.
This is my first theory post so bare with me. I believe that in episodes to come Jack and everyone else will believe there is no way off the island. Jack will go back to the losties along with Juliet, and they will form an alliance against the others and the real power struggle will begin. With the outside world unable to see the island since the anomoly, this will also create additional chaos, no more food drops, no more recruits for the others. The others will try to convince more of the losties to join them, if they are worthy or can be brainwashed to do so with Locke leading the mission. Ben will lose his power because he doesn’t have the connection with the island that Locke has. Perhaps Jacob is Ben’s father and something similar happened between he and Ben. While I’m talking about Ben, I think Danielle was recruited by the DHARMA inititive along with the other scientists on the research vessel that “wrecked” on the island. Somehow, she and Ben created Alex, either they were married, or involved. She had the baby and he banished her. Perhaps he was using her for the baby since females can’t seem to have children on the island, making the kidnappings of the children of the losties that more important. When it comes down to getting off the island, the two sides will both have their secret weapons. Locke, the new leader of the others, will have the submarine that no one knows about. and Jack, being the leader of the losties will have Desmond and his connection to Penny who will eventually find them. The submarine will eventually be found, by whom I don’t know.
On a side note, Jack is INLOVE with Kate, and she with him. I refuse to believe otherwise. I don’t know if she had sex with Sawyer because she thought he was going to die, felt sorry for him, or maybe because Jack had been treating her like crap for a few weeks before they were captured by the others and she believed he didn’t care, but she loves Jack. He’s so inlove with her, I don’t think he even cares that she had sex with Sawyer.
