My Mythology Spin on LOST by Jessica

My Mythology spin on LOST

Here is some interesting information an a Mythology Family. My Theory is that MIB and Jacob are the two brothers in the story

Brothers: Osiris- Wise king bringer of civilvation "King of the Afterworld" At death a person faced judgment by a tribunal of forty-two divine judges. If they led a life in conformance with the precepts of the Goddess Ma'at, who represented truth and right living, the person was welcomed into the kingdom of Osiris. If found guilty the person was thrown to a “devourer” and didn't share in eternal life The person who is taken by the devourer is subject first to terrifying punishment and then annihilated. Purification for those who are considered justified may be found in the descriptions of “Flame Island”, where they experience the triumph over evil and rebirth. For the dammed complete destruction into a state of non being awaits but there is no suggestion of eternal torture.
(Thought "Flame Island" was interesting)

Set- God of desert, storms, darkness, chaos. Set was worshiped at the temple of Ombas.

Mom: Nut- Goddess of sky and heavenly bodies protecting dead in afterlife. Barrier seperating the forces of chaos from the cosmos of the world.
(Flocke said his mother was crazy-maybe her name was Nut)

Dad: Geb- God of the earth, earth containing the dead, imprisioning those not worthy to go to the Field of Reeds

Sister: Isis-Goddess of simplicity, protector of the dead

Two additional Gods:

Ash: Egyptian God associated with Set
(They were placing ashes around the temple to protect it)

Taweret: Goddess of childbirth. She carried an arkh at times which is a symbol of life or a knife which would be used to threaten evil spirits (Jacob lives in the foot of the Taweret There was an arkh in Hurley's guitar case at the temple. We have seen Dogen/MIB have the knife) Taweret became seen only as the concubine of Set. She was seen as concubine rather than wife. It then was said that Taweret had been an evil goddess, but changed her ways and held Set back on a chain.

The Story of the Two Brothers:

Set was envious of his younger brother Osiris. He killed and dismembered him. Isis reassembled Osiris's corpse and Osiris reigned over the afterworld as a king among deserving spirits. Osiris's son Horus was conceived by Isis with Osiris's corpse. Horus became Set's enemy. Set poked out Horus's left eye and Horus cut off Set's testicles making him God of Infertility. (Babies always die before birth on the Island)
