The first 4 episodes of season 6 have been very interesting and have been answering questions as well as bringing up a few more.
What is becoming quite evident is that choice is a very pertinent part of not only this season but through the entire show.
Very recently, we have seen the Smoke Monster or UnLocke scream, "you can't tell me what I can't do." I recently began re-watching the seasons and the one thing that has stuck out more than anything else is the constant reiteration of choice.
From watching these episodes and the new ones, I have come to the conclusion that the key to the entire show and the main battle within the show is between free choice and the absence of it. The battle is evident between conflict within each person and between the apparent two sides choosing which side they are on (UnLockes or Jabob's side) and even between Jacob and the MIB themselves. I theorize that the end of the show will have a very large part to deal with on the topic of free choice.
