I think most of us would agree that a major theme throughout Lost, dark vs. light (or black vs. white), will also have a big part in the endgame during Season 6.
There have been suggestions that Season 6 will feature a division of 2 sides, one side light, the other dark. As we saw in Season 1, when Jack found Adam and Eve, he also pocketed 2 stones (one light, one dark). My short but simple theory is that Adam and Eve will initially be divided on their allegiances. One will side with the light side, the other will side with the dark side. Ultimately, they will reunite in their mutual love and face their ultimate (and tragic) fate together. Thus symbolized by the stones.
