Well, I was wishing it was season six tomorrow, and I decided to watch the end of season five again.
Two things still bug me about the end, concerning Locke as Flocke. Firstly, and this is pretty banal, but Flocke seemed to be suprised that Jacob lived where he did. I understand that Flocke has to play the part of an unknowing, revived, super-Locke, but his reaction to finding out where Jacob was living suprised me. Especially seeing as how I assumed the man in black knew where Jacob lived at the start of the Incident. Maybe I've been taken in.
Secondly, when Ben tells Flocke about the monster telling him to do whatever Flocke asks, Flocke seems to actually act suprised. I mean, it may just have been myself, but please, I implore you all to watch that scene again; does Flocke seem suprised he's been given the go-ahead from Smokey? It really is of my opinion that Flocke thinks everything has come up trumps for him. The only thought I can put forward from here is that perhaps Jacob is Smokey himself, and this is why Flocke is so suprised. We all like suprises in Lost, it would throw me. Flocke assumed Jacob forgave Ben, but had no idea he got Ben to play along with Flocke's game. I'm going to assume Jacob knew what would happen if he insulted Ben whilst he had a knife.
As an extra, bonus little bit for you here, it would be awesome that Jacob becomes Smokey after Flocke kicks him into the fire, becoming smoke. I would pay a lot of money to see that CGI happen.
In conclusion, this could be the fault of me misunderstanding Terry, or his acting confusing me. I'm pretty simple.
