Faraday is Desmond's Grandson (no joke!) and other Theories by Dio

Desmond and Penny are not married. They named their son Charlie, after Pace, or Dickens. Hawking told Desmond the Island was not done with him. What is there left for him to do?

This theory will give evidence for the theory that Charlie Hume, or more accurately Charles Widmore, is his own grandfather.

At some point in Season 6, Desmond and/or Penny and their son will return to the Island. Their son will be sent back in time, or they will all be sent back in time. Desmond and Penny will die (and possibly become Adam & Eve?), while their son will be adopted by the Others. He will take on his legal name, Charles Widmore. He will grow into the evil mastermind we love to hate, and have a daughter named Penny, who will have a child with Desmond, etc., etc., we all know the time loop by now.
I would like to direct you to an interesting quote from "The Variable". In the hospital after Desmond was shot, Penny and Hawking have a conversation:
"MS. HAWKING: How old is your son?
PENNY: He's 2.
MS. HAWKING: [Sighs] He has his father's hair."
He has his father's hair? What an odd comment. Unless we understand that she she is really referring to his grandfather's hair, or rather HIS OWN hair. The Lost executives made a very specific choice in the actor for Desmond's son, choosing a child with majestic golden curls. What a surprise that 1970's Widmore has majestic, flowing hair. And who would know better Widmore's hair than Hawking, who was sleeping with him at the time?
