Locke is a Flocke but not MIB and a new perspective on ALT by Leon

This is a fairly long read but I think it’ll be worth your while, please feel free to ask me any questions you have.

Recently I’ve been thinking ……….Could it be that when Desmond turned the fail safe, he created an alternate timeline?

think about "flashes before your eyes" he instantly travels back to before he found the island and has a chance to change things. Miss Hawkins is there to tell him that he has to push that button or "every single one of us is dead" ( or something along those lines). So good old self pitying Desmond re-lives ditching Penny and buggers off around the world again. Back to this later.

I believe that the failsafe was created by that annoying little Radzinsky guy to enable someone to undo the consequences of time and space manipulation in case of emergency (after all this is the job of a fail safe), by going back in time to just before the swan was being constructed.

Back in “Cabin Fever” Christian explicitly states that LOCKE has to turn the wheel, but a recently demoted Ben is there to jump in to make him feel like he’s important again, and totally screws it up by not locking the wheel in place. When John meets Christian again he is pretty pissed that Locke didn’t turn it himself by stating “I said YOU had to turn it John”.
What this means is that by Ben not locking the wheel into position, he sent the on-islanders whizzing through time like raisins in a blender. This gives Locke an ideal opportunity to cement his title as leader which our resident gormless immortal Ricardus Alpert eventually falls for. Hence why Christian (as a spokesman for Jacob) gets in a grump with Locke about his inability to follow simple instructions.

Anyway, so Locke goes on a magical mystery tour by turning the wheel and wakes up in Tunisia, then proceeds to become his usual pitiful off-island self, until Ben has enough of his suicidal whining and strangles him, yet again helping the whole FLOCKE scenario to play out ( I’m unsure if this is Ben’s intention or not), but anyway this is all part of the LOOPHOLE

SO what I think happened was that the old timeline still exists, this is the one with Jack and co. in ‘77, the only problem is that the future hasn’t happened yet in that timeline (oceanic 815 crashing etc). So this means present time ‘07 Losties are in fact in the Alt timeline.
Let me explain.
By course correction (and general common sense) Oceanic 815 has not landed on the Island in the Alt timeline (present) because the current timeline was only invented sometime in ‘04 when Des turned the fail safe. This is where Ajira 316 comes in to play.

First I’d like to explain why the passengers of Ajira 316 went to which timeline, basically in brief;

Jack, Hurley, Kate - were on island pre-failsafe being turned so have to go back to original timeline.
Locke - Is Dead and was alive in previous timeline so couldn’t return to original timeline
Sun - Pregnant in previous timeline and isn’t in present timeline so couldn’t return to original timeline
Ben - Turned Wheel which means he cannot return to island (which I believe means the original timeline)
Illana, Cesaer and Randoms - weren’t on Island pre-failsafe (as far as we know)
Frank - Arrived on Kahana post-failsafe

Anyway, Miss Hawkins makes it abundantly clear that they have to recreate the original circumstances and scenario’s of Oceanic 815, This involves Locke as a proxy for Christian (black shoes is in my eyes a massive clue), and who is there arranging Locke’s return as a proxy? Yep, you got it. Ben. I believe this is another part of the LOOPHOLE.

So because the losties escaped they need to return to the Island to replicate the previous timeline as it was before. And as if by magic….wham bam thank you ma’am, the Losties each go to there respected timelines, thus fixing any paradoxes that could’ve occurred because of this.

SO HOW DOES ALL THIS RELATE TO SEASON 6 ????

Well, now that the Losties have got to the Island via Ajira 316 under the same circumstances as Oceanic 815, this makes it impossible for the Losties to get to the island via 815 without causing a huge destructive paradox. So……….. In the original timeline we will see 815 land safe and sound in LAX.

WHAT???? I HEAR YOU SAY……..HOW CAN TWO VERSIONS OF JACK, KATE, SAWYER AND HURLEY EXIST WITHOUT CAUSING A MAJOR PARADOX??????

The answer is simple……….Exactly the same way there are two Locke’s.

BUT HOW????

OK, Back to my favourite bonnie Scot Desmond. When Des turned the Failsafe in the Swan who was there with him? Yep, you got it again, good old Mr. Locke. I believe the close proximity to the electromagnetic energy made a ALT version of Locke.
I think Desmond is able to exist in both timelines as one person which is why Faraday tells him he is “uniquely and miraculously special” and that “the rules don’t apply to him”. hence his “flashes before your eyes adventure”.
But anyway point in hand, I believe Jughead will have a similar effect, it will transport the Losties in close proximity of the blast to the alt timeline whilst they exist in the Original timeline landing safely at LAX.
This also fits Richard’s “because I saw them all die comment” he probably thinks they were all obliterated in the blast.
I don’t believe Flocke is MIB but is rather an ALT Locke fulfilling the MIB loophole, This is why Locke and Jacob have only met in a manner of speaking. (this could also allude to Jacob reviving Locke after his unfortunate free fall antics). I believe Claire’s dream in “raised by another” was an allusion to Locke having a good and bad version , as he has one white eye and one black. Another clue could be when Jack finds Adam and Eve and places the black and white pebbles in his hand the Camera immediately focuses on Locke’s face as he times his entrance perfectly.
Another point I might as well slip in is that it’s Ben who ultimately kills Jacob after helping Flocke set up the Loophole, as much as it pains me to say this, I think Ben is the ultimate pawn, Not Locke.
