LOST Theories - DarkUFO

Influence by Monika

We all know that Lost is influenced by many great writers. Few of them are one of my favorites. Aldous Huxley, Carlos Castaneda, C.S Lewis, Stephen Hawking, Lewis Carroll etc. One of them, the last one, is important for this "theory"...

Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, better known by the pen name Lewis Carroll, was an English author, mathematician, logician, Anglican deacon and photographer. His most famous writings are Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and its sequel Through the Looking-Glass.

I am sure most of you have seen the animated film (one of my favorite animated films ever and the scariest one I have ever seen) from 1951.

Lets see who created this film?

"Alice in Wonderland is a 1951 American animated comedy feature produced by Walt Disney and based on Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass. Thirteenth in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series, the film was released in New York City and London on July 26, 1951 by RKO Radio Pictures. Directed by Clyde Geronimi and Wilfred Jackson. "

What? Yes Geronimi and Jackson. Or Geronimo Jackson.

I thought it is cool to share this piece of info for those who never payed attention to this..

Another thing I find very interesting is that Aldous Huxley and C.S. Lewis died on the same day- 22nd November 1963, the same day Kennedy was assassinated.

Aldous Huxley wrote few notable books, Brave New World, the Island, Doors of perception. Look it up..read it. There are many things, little clues..connection. I am sure this set of writers influenced our creators of Lost..Ford, Pala, talking birds, weird island, alfa people and so on. The Doors of Perception is also important, since I believe that drugs are incorporated into the show. Mescalin and LSD..doors to another world (this was shown by Locke using and getting others to use it..seeing the REAL reality, things that are gonna happen)

Another thing, Richard Alpert, former Harvard professor (later known as Ram Dass ) was one of the authors of a book, dedicated to none other but Aldous Huxley.
"The Psychedelic Experience: A Manual Based on The Tibetan Book of the Dead (commonly referred to as The Psychedelic Experience) is an instruction manual intended for use during sessions involving psychedelic drugs. Written in 1964, this version of Tibetan Book of the Dead was authored by Timothy Leary, Ralph Metzner and Richard Alpert, all of whom took part in experiments investigating the therapeutic and religious possibilities of drugs such as mescaline, psilocybin and LSD. According to Lama Surya Das, writing in the introduction to the book The Lost Teachings of Lama Govinda, this book was written while the three were visiting Crank's Ridge in India, a popular hippie destination in 60s."

Look up these books if you havent read it yet..and enjoy.
