You know you're thinking too much about Lost when. . .

Yes, that happened to me about a month ago. I haven't had a chance to post this, but the more I think about this, the more I think it's not a bad theory and is worth talking about.
In the dream I was on the island and involved in the action, not watching it on TV. The information I got from the dream was that the island is an extraterrestrial prison with Jacob and MIB as the only inmates. They were exiled by their race as this prison was dropped in the ocean on a distant planet (from their home world) and left for centuries. It doesn't really exist on the normal earth plane and is disguised as an island in case someone should find it. Jacob and MIB's natural form is a smoke creature. So there are two different smokies on the island-our black smokie and a different one which Locke saw in season 1. All of the island's unique properties are part of the prison's security. The whole living in a "bloody snow globe" thing would actually apply to this. They bring people to the island because they themselves can't leave or move the island. They pass the time by playing games with people as pawns. The entities eventually found that by taking human form, they wer! e able to leave the prison but not the planet.
I don't remember most of the "episode" I saw in my dream, but I definitely remember Sawyer on the island and being surrounded by enemies. There was a lot of fighting and it now MIB was in charge. He was "bringing" all the ships in the world to the island and making them burn. The island was surrounded by fire from all the burning ships. It seemed MIB wanted to destroy the earth. The dream was very action packed.
This doesn't explain alot of the Lost mysteries such as the Egyptian connections, but I thought it was interesting. What do you guys think?
