1- Jacob is not a god, nor he has super human powers, that would be a very lame explanation for all. I think that the cool factor in lost is that all that it seems "super human" (richard not aging, walt powers...) will be explained just as consequences of mind and physical time travel.
2- I don't know how, but the fact that almost everybody in the show has some strange or totally absent relationship with their parents, will be explained and will be one of the very important things in the show.
Think about Locke, Jack, Kate, Jin, Sun, Sawyer, Ben, Michael, Claire... Nobody has a normal family or normal and alive parents.
No one of the omportant chatacters has a normal family. Maybe Sun and Jin... but who is Jin's mother? absent!
3- The infamous 2004 food drop: it's obvious that that was a Dharma food drop, and that in that moment, the island was NOT in 2004. period. why? the hatch being exploded caused the island to be free from the Swan, wich was constructed to keep the island always in those 108 minutes in time, again and again. After Swan exploded, the island is again free and runnin in time, when and how ecactly, I don't know.
