You know when Richard Alpert said, 'because I watched them all die............' or something. Well, it occurred to me that if indeed he did watch them die that it may not be down to Jughead exploding.
He's the theory:
In the episode 'Jughead', Daniel tells his future-mum (good superhero name) that in the future the island is still there. We can therefore determine that if a nuke was to go off on the island, it would have wiped everything out, right?
Therefore if Richard did watch them all croak it as a result of Jughead going off, then surely that would have killed him off too. This assuming that Richard, like Jacob can be killed by conventional forces.
The whole alternative time line thing confuses me to the point where I go boz-eyed, but in either reality if Jughead went off, Richard, Ben and all the other would be dead.
