I'm not sure if my theory makes sense but I have been thinking a lot about Jacob's death. I wondered why MIB pushed Jacob in the fire. Why did he do this? Probably MIB just aimed to hasten Jacob's death. But I don't think he's a real monster (well, he's a monster but he doesn't seem so violent). It looked like he wanted to "destroy" Jacob's body. I know it sounds rather silly but look at this.
We know that somebody (MIB) occupies Locke's body.But we also know that there is a real Locke, who passed away. So it means that MIB can take any form, if he needs it, right?
My idea is the following: MIb found his "loophole" and killed Jacob, so now he can take Jacob's form and to be a leader on the Island. He can tell Richard that Locke was an enemy and it's his body in the fire.
Of course my assumption isn't a brilliant idea but it could occur...
What do you think?
Another my question is why MIB wanted Ben to kill Jacob. And I have two answers:
1) MIB couldn't do this by his own hands (I don't know why but maybe this the case with the famous rules: Ben couldn't kill Charles);
2) MIB wanted to prove that Jacob was mistaken. The man who killed Jacob was Ben, who believed in Jacob. Jacob was Ben's God. But some simple words shook Ben's faith. It means that MIB was quite right about people. So MIB killed two birds with one stone literally...
But I believe that we will get some more interesting explanations.
