Well first of all, I want to start saying that I definitly think that the jughead will become the incident and because of that the Losts in 70's will not fix what they pretend. So the loop still repeats indefinitly as always was, is and will be. The 815 crashes because of Desmon or because some other reason, but in fact 815 always crashes on the island. And my argument for that affirmation is basically the character of Desmond and his special role. Because of his unic "talent" we already know that (remember Charlie's dead, etc.). So Wathever happened, happen or somthing really closer is about to. I wanted to start by this point because I think it's the key to the future.
The point is this: both Jacob and his Bad Dude, are specials as Desmond, if not obiously, even more. They play one after another a game that, this is speculation, always finish in tie. So now, in the courrent game we are enjoying the Bad Dude (I'm not totally sure Jacob will end being the good guy, I don't know why, but wathever) finally managed to kill Jacob. But, and now my special winning bet, Jacob was prepared for that, and in order to survive or somthing else, somthing to let him at least not lose the game against his nemesis, he made that move of touching our heroes (Kate, Sawyer, Said, Jin and Sun, Locke, Jack and Hurley). But why he touched them? Why in those specific moments? Why them? To insure bring them to the island? No. He knows they gonna carsh there, it's written like I said earlier. Even more. Jacob knows that this particullary group will survive unleast up to when he needs them. And I think he touched them, and this is not gonna like a lot of people (even ! me, but this is my theory), to transfer somehow a part of him/it in each other. To reborn? To power them up? I don't Know, but the Bad Dude neither, and that's the clue.
