I believe in the theory whatever happened happened. I believe that when Daniel returned to the Island with the theory that things could be changed he was wrong. Thus the reason why he spoke to young Charlotte which he said he would never do and thus completing the cycle of Charlotte. Now, the Hydrogen Bomb, my theory is that one of two things will happen.
1) Jack will get the bomb to the position he needs it to be at, with the help of Kate (not sure how he convinces her though). Everyone in the photo that Sun showed Alpert will be there and they will detonate the bomb. Richard will see the explosion from a distance and think everyone was killed. Now, here's where the "whatever Happened, Happened" plays in, I believe that all they will be doing by detonating the Hydrogen Bomb is CAUSE THE INCIDENT in the first place. The energy will be released and the losties will be transported to another time, probably the present time.
2) Basically the same theory as above except Jack decides not to detonate the bomb because he wants to meet Kate and does not want to erase her from his memory (as a Skater is pains me to write that). After that the Incident may happen as it always did, or Eloise wanting to save her unborn son will detonate the bomb and end up causing the incident.
