After watching season 5 finale I have come up with a theory of Jacob and co. hope you like
So here goes
In the beginning of this episode we saw Jacob/god and an unknown person (we have our guesses who he is, I believe he is the devil/evil but not the smoke monster) having a conversation on the beach. From this conversation we see that the black shirt guy had a prolem with people coming to the island and that Jacob didn’t because somehow he brought them there. I think Jacob brought people to the island to give them a choice and once they made the right choice Jacob would choose a leader out of the bunch of people he brought to the island. For example, Richard. My guess is the devil/evil did not approve of this and would want the people Jacob brought to the island to fail so he deliberately would try to tempt individuals into evil so he could prove Jacob wrong for example, bringing John Locke dad to the island knowing that john or sawyer would eventually kill him.
In biblical terms Jesus always gave a person a choice and the devil would always use temptation to lure a person into evil. For example, money, leadership, sex etc. and that’s exactly what happened the devil used Bens insecurities to lure him into killing Jacob. In the bible faith is enough you don’t necessary need to see god to know he is there. And that’s why Jacob gave Ben a choice to keep his faith or do what the devil suggested he should do.
The only problem was that Ben couldnt t take rejection after being played like a fool and lost his faith when Jacob replied ‘what about you?’
Now the devil thinks he has killed Jacob he thinks he can become the god of the island but what he doesnt know is that john will be resurrected by Kate, Jack, Sawyer, Hurley, Sayid, Sun and Jin. This is because when Jacob meet everyone of the losties he touched them and when he did he planted something special in everyone of them and that’s what will be needed to resurrect john and once this has been done the devil will lose the war. Remember what Ben and Richard have both said ‘dead is dead’ and they have seen the island do plenty of extraordinary things but never has someone came back from the dead. Jacob will still be alive in the losties and due to that they will have the upper hand on the devil because he thinks that no one else is coming so when Jacob was dying and said ‘they are coming’that’s why the devil/evil was shocked he didn’t think Jacob had a plan bringing another bunch of people to the island.
going to Juliet I believe she has change something as the logo was also changed lost producers would not of changed something that important if it was not relevant to the show.
