After watching the final episode of season 5 I have no shame in saying: I was completely speechless!
But after i got over the initial shock, and took a shit to clear my head, I started to peice everything together and realised the basis for season 6.
Throughout the episode we were updated with flashbacks of Jacobs encouters with the oceanic 6.
Everytime Jacob would speak or interact ewith a character he wud make a point of touching them...
Kate: On the nose.
Sawyer: Giving him the pen.
John: On the chest after he fell from the window.
Jack: When handing him the candy-bar.
Sun and Jin: On their shoulders at the wedding.
Hurley: On the chest in the taxi.
I'll come back to this "touching" thing in a moment...
Now to the bomb...
AS we are led to beleive the bomb is the key to changing the
course of time, and making everything normal again.
Jack seems to think the bomb will create a back to the future style senario and everything will be erased and re-written instantly...
But when the bomb goes off the sudden white flash is some-what reminicent of the time skipping flashes from earlier in the season.
When Jacob touched each islander he transferred a little of his soul and being into them...
as insurance incase of his failure to the island or death.
Jacobs dying words were:
"They're coming..."
Jack, Sawyer, Juliet, Kate, Hurley and Jin
wont die in the explosion...
they will merely be sent forward in time
to where Sun, Richard and Alana are....
This is because they are the only remaining
parts of Jacob left to protect the island...
Season six will centre around the return and reunion of the
islanders; the true resurection of the dead John Locke
and the war to end the island... forever.
