The cabin has only been around for no more than 30years. Horace built it anywhere from 1970-1992. Illana hasn't been on the island in the past 30years because she does not know who Richard is. She is familiar with the island because she knew where to find the cabin and statue without any help. Why would she first go to the cabin and expect to see Jacob there,
unless someone (Jacob) told her to go there to find Jacob. She said "ut oh" the ring of ash has been broken when she still thought Jacob was living there. Then she entered the cabin to say someone else has been using it and Jacob hasn't been here for awhile, but somehow Jacob's note to where he was located was still hanging on the wall?
So either Jacob used the cabin and ring of ash for protection against either smokey or anti-Jacob.(I think smokey and anti-jacob are different as smokey can be summoned and I highly doubt anti-jacob can be summoned[i think smokey works for anti-Jacob])Also maybe that's why the cabin moves for help in the protection.
OR second theory is jacob used the cabin but then either left or somehow trapped anti-jacob in there. If you do believe anti-jacob was trapped in the cabin then it would be hard for him to be using Christian's form, for the fact that we see Christian walking around the island. You cant be trapped and allowed to walk around the island at the same time. Maybe smokey used Christian form? Maybe Smokie led Clarie to the cabin so anti-jacob could take
her form and escape from the cabin? Maybe Anti-jacob was never trapped but just used the cabin after Jacob left? Jacob broke the ring of ash to leave? Or the ring of ash was for neither protection or being trapped but instead is the reason the cabin can move all over the island, kinda like a teleport for the resident? Is clarie dead? Was someone using her form? She did seem quite cool and calm. Maybe we were not looking at Christian and Claire in the cabin but instead we were looking at Anti-jacob and Smokey using the forms of humans? I would hate to think Claire is dead or taken over by evil.
What has Christian done to be shown as evil deeds? He did tell Locke he must get all the 06 back to the island. Why would anti-jacob want that..he wouldn't.(Christian didn't want Locke to die, but said it was sacrifice, because he was trying to counter the move of anti-jacob) I think Jacob wanted the 06 to return because they are the people he "touched" and are a part of jacob's plan.(Jacob's touch did not bring these people to the island.As Sayid and Hurley were touched AFTER the rescue of the 06, therefor his "touch" means something even more powerful) Back to Christian maybe Jacob was taking his form and Claire is ok? Maybe when we saw Christian in the cabin and an Eye was shown in the window the Eye was Anti-Jacob? Maybe when Hurley came upon the cabin to see the Eye he was in fact interrupting a conversation between jacob(christian) and anti-jacob(eye), kinda like the conversation we saw at the start of the Incident?
Now that I have splattered all of my ideas down, I like to think it was jacob's cabin and he used Christian's form to help guide our losties and claire is ok because she is with "him". The ring of ash is for teleporting around the island and when illana said he hasnt been here for awhile she meant the 3 yrs our losties have been stuck in the 70's. This is what I want to think but if christian turns out to be anti-jacob i wouldnt be surprised, but he could Not have been trapped because we saw him walking around the island.
