The Loop has ended and the final game begins… in the present day… probably. Ok so I’m not one to normally publish my theories on Lost because you never know when you are going to walk into a Frozen Donkey Wheel that takes you off the island and sends the rest of your fellow survivors flying through time. Life’s a bitch ain’t it? But since we are now waiting for the final series I guess it’s time to be proven wrong in the 1st 10 minutes of the season 6 premier. Here we go.
“Smokey is a pet that will never be explained” – how wrong was I? At least the season 5 finally proved one thing right for me – the island don’t mean squat. It’s just a place that has magical powers and allows Jacob and Smokey to test their theories. Instead Lost is a battle of Good vs. Evil (God vs. the Devil – if you really must) to see if people can ‘behave’ themselves. Jacob is all “YEY”, whilst Smokey “Your wrong and I’m going to kill you”. Now I hate to put a downer on things, but there is no way evil will win, as much as I’d love it too – for sheer shock value of course – how many times do we see Superman or Spiderman get killed? Never. So Jacob will resurrect and defeat Smokey, although I doubt kill, for Good would not be Good without Evil.
But what about our beloved Losties? The ones who really matter. Well here’s what I think, in no particular order, because being wrong needs no order.
HURLEY = I’m sure back in season 1 the writers said he would play some pivotal role in the final episode; then again there was only suppose to be 3 series, so that might have changed, but some how I doubt it. Nothing (including millions of $) or no-one ever corrupts him, He saw Jacob’s (Or Smokey’s) cabin, he’s a main character that just doesn’t seem to have done as much as the rest. And let’s not forget the mysterious guitar case (I’d laugh so much if there was only a guitar inside). So his future will be saving everyone and proving Jacob right. Not bad for a man that was never suppose to be on the 815 plane.
LOCKE = Ben was freaked that he came back to life only for us to find out that he didn’t. Clever Smokey. The last laugh will be with Locke however for he will arise. There are too many Locke fans out there for him to be killed off. I don’t think he’ll become a leader (yes there will be people left on the island) instead he’ll just go hunting and live on the island in peace.
JULIET = Oh you are so dead missy. Wouldn’t hold any hope of a return. If the writers really want this love quadrangle to continue then they need to move it on quickly, without wasting anymore time.
JACK = Leader of the Others. Yes I said it. Shoot me if you must, but we have seen Jack believe in the island this series.
SAWYER = You’re going to have to die. Just like at the end of season 4 when he jumps out of the helicopter he’ll sacrifice himself… after a few topless scenes that is.
JIN-SUN = Live happily ever after. They’ve come so far and I don’t see any reason for them to die. They’re the young Rose and Bernard (who I so want to come and save the day next season. Their part in the finale was awesome – and was it just me or did they know what was going to happen).
KATE = How I tolerate you. To be fair she’s grown on me this season, although completely screwed things up for Sawyer and Juliet. I think she’ll be a mum to Aaron and live alone. You can see the little effort I’ve put in to this - refers to how little I care. Die Quadrangle Die!!!
SAYID = Tricky one to call. I was going for dead by the end of series 5, but they didn’t confirm it. Surly they’re not going to wait until series 6 to show us he’s a goner. The again this is the unpredictable Lost.
FRANK = Was it me or was IIana saying Frank is going to be important. A vessel for Jacob???
MILES = Interesting to see where his character goes, especially now he doesn’t have daddy issues.
CLARE = Who??? The girl whose eye it was. Yep the sneak peak at the end will turn out to be Clare. She had amazing eyes and it’s just like the writers to make us wait months for the next series and then not even get straight to the answers we want. I wish she wasn’t dead, but Miles seemed to think she was going to be and she definitely looked like a possessed Smoky Zombie last time we saw her.
BEN = One of the best characters ever created and great acting by Michael Emerson. I think he’ll live off the island (I probably should have mentioned earlier I’m going for everyone that lives to remain on the island – except Ben). The island has ruined his life. I was so sure there was a final trick up his sleeve, but after killing (although not killing) Jacob, perhaps he’s really as lost as the rest of us. Confront Charles, Ben, he’s your enemy!!! I just want to see a massive punch up between these 2.
Last few that I admit I have no ideas… even wrong ones.
RICHARD = Season 6 will tell us more about his background and it’s going to kick ass – passenger on the Black Rock… he’s got to be.
DESMOND = Since he’s the one that we thought could change everything, but now isn’t has he any story left??? Of course. There’s no way they’ll have ended his story like that. Time can be altered through major events, but small events are course corrected. These smaller ones are the ones that Desmond can alter.
WALT = Surly he’ll return, a guide perhaps? Was he Abaddon? I’d say so.
AARON + JI YEON = They’re island babies!!! Yes that’s my theory.
LIBBY = Doubt we’ll ever find out her story. I here Cynthia Watros is tres busy.
So there you have it. Since this is Lost all I can hope for is at least one is correct – though I doubt it; except it being Clare’s eye. I can see it. So I’ll see you all in the present day (the white flash happens just before the bomb and it’s Jacob bringing them back – basing that on the fact it was a white flash, but then again a pink one would of just looked silly). I leave you with the thoughts that the word “Lost” is now on black on a white background instead the opposite indicating something has changed. And everyone’s favourite Vincent will live and from what I hear play a key part in the final series. Ok I heard nothing, but I bet he does.
