It's my first theory posted here, just couldn't resist. :)
For the last few weeks Lost kept us thinking that Locke=Smokey. But in this episode, for the first time since Locke 2.0 (Esau?) appeared, he looked genuinely surprised when Ben told him about meeting with Alex and he's supposed to do whatever Locke 2.0 asks him to do.
Therefore, this could mean that Locke didn't know what's Smokey's agenda. That brings the conclusion that Locke isn't Smokey.
Now for the second part of theory - we've seen a lot of flashbacks of Losties in The Incident. What was significant, is the fact that Juliet's flashback was the only one where Jacob didn't appear.
Error? Just a flashback to make Juliet say same thing to Sawyer what she hear from her mother? Nuh-uh, I don't think so. Maybe Juliet was the only Lostie who could change past/future, because rest was blessed by Jacob (therefore, as someone said in comments, he's their constant).
The death of Jacob allowed the past/future to get changed. I think that earlier in all appearances of the loop Juliet died when she fell into that well (excuse my English), but this time - since Jacob was already dead (doesn't matter if it was 30 years later as Jacob doesn't age - time doesn't exist for him) - she stayed alive and detonated the bomb to change everything.
I also think that what happens to Losties next season will be very similar to what happened to Desmond after turning failsafe key. In fact maybe that's what failsafe did in S2 - detonated the bomb!
