Hurley will probably end up somehow programming the codes at the Dharma stations. He doesn't seem to be in a hurry to get off the island. At the Swan station he will probably end up programming his lottery number into the pc to discharge the electromagnetic build up, since he know the numbers by heart. Also, at the Looking Glass station, he will probably program the Beach Boys song to turn off the jamming equipment. The programmer was supposed to be a musician, and Hurley did bring back a guitar case on the trip back to the island. Hurley will also probably end up programming the numbers into the Dharma radio transmitter tower at the top of the station which will eventually lead Rousseau's team to the island. The radio transmission of the numbers is replayed in an endless loop and will also be heard by Hurley's Santa Rosa mental institute friend, Leonard Simms, when Leonard was stationed in the South Pacific as a! naval communications officer around 1988. Leonard tells Hurley of the numbers (Leonard also keeps repeats mutterng the numbers endlessly in a loop) when they play the Connect 4 game at the mental institute. Hurley then uses the numbers to win the lottery. This starts the chain of events which leads Hurley to buy a ticket on Oceanic flight 815, which of course first brings Hurley to the island.
So as the originator of the number codes in the Dharma stations, Hurley will be forever connected to the numbers and the island.
How does that sound for another twisted Lost time paradox loop?
