So we know that you cannot have children on the Island. In Fact if you get pregnant on the island the baby will not live to its second trimester! Here is why.
The island is on a time loop, where is begins who knows, but we do know 1950's is in there as well as the 70's and 2006. Once the time reaches a certin point in time, it will loop. In a circle, as it always has. This is why Richard knows he watched them die, and Charles Whitmore, remembers John off Island. Cause the circle of time has made a full cicle, and what happened has already happened.
Time Loop - The time loop can only have those who are involved in it. Meaning no other form of life can interfere with the time loop, cause what happened happened. It involved those who are there now, and no other people besides those who have lived the past already. You cannot go through a time loop if you are not born. The path has been written already.
2nd Trimster - I am no doctor, but I think that the child forms in the second trimester, which is why they do not live. Once a child has gender, features etc it cannot exist in the time loop cause it will not be born in before the loop. Meaning you can't bring a child into the world at a 1956 flash when it was concieved in 2007.
Baby Aaron - If your pregnant off Island and you can have the baby. i.e Claire and Aaron. This only happened cause they do exist in the time loop, and Aaron was born before the time loop began. His story was already written. It was already his destiny.
