So follow me here.
Miles agrees to work with Naomi on Widmore's freighter for 1.6 million. Bram then approaches Miles asking him to work for them instead and Miles asks for double what he was getting with Naomi at 3.2 mil. He then proceeds to get on the freighter and upon finding Ben, asks for the 3.2 million.
Soooooooooooo, why would Miles ask Ben for the same amount he asked Bram for? The answer is that Ben was aware of Miles price for siding against Naomi and Widmore. How would Ben know about this? He had to be in touch with Bram, Bram told him what Miles demand was and they enlisted Miles as a double agent whereupon getting to the island he would confirm his identity to Ben by asking for the 3.2 and Ben would decide whether or not to make the deal.
I know Lost is great for curveballs but the connection between Ilana/Bram and Ben seems pretty clear cut to me. I've seen a lot of people say that there is no way they are working for Ben though, and I'd be very curious as to how you find your way around denying the above scenerio. Doesn't the mention of 3.2 million to both Bram and Ben connect the two parties?
