Doc: Great Scott! Jennifer could conceivably encounter her future self! The consequences of that could be disastrous!
Marty: Doc, what do you mean?
Doc: I foresee two possibilities. One, coming face to face with herself 30 years older would put her into shock and she would simply pass out. Or two, the encounter could create a time paradox, the results of which could start a chain reaction that would unravel the very fabric of the space time continuum, and destroy the entire universe! Granted, that's a worst-case scenario. The destruction might in fact be very localized, limited to our own galaxy.
Marty: Well, that's a relief!
~Back To the Future Part II~
So here it is in a nutshell…
No paradox Doc but a recombining of molecules making baby Miles brain wave twice that of a normal human, now Miles can tune into the waves of the dead.
Take this into consideration, Miles eventually ends up holding his baby self which is a no no.
See: Back to the Future II, Time Cop, etc…
Instead of a catastrophical incident, we simply have Older Mile’s just die, why just die? His brain waves shut off and merge with his younger counterparts self. On account that they can not be occupying the same space. Now baby Miles has a beefed up brain and to an average onlooker “Dharma Person” it might look like Miles suffered from a heart attack or perhaps an embolism.
So what do you think? Miles got his abilities from Miles?
