I've heard that people think Amy is an Other spy in the Dharma camp. This didn't make sense to me because of how Sawyer & Juliette met her until I thought "what if our perceptions of that scene were reversed?" Here's the scenario:
Amy & her husband, Paul, were both Others (a good possibility because of Paul's necklace) and the other two were Dharma who had followed Amy & Paul because they were suspicious. The Dharma people (not in Dharma uniforms) shot Paul & were taking Amy back to the compound. Sawyer & Juliette happen upon the scene & take the side of the apparently defenseless woman & shoot the two Dharma guys. Quick witted Amy thinks "if we bury these 2 Dharma guys, I can claim that it was two hostiles that killed Paul."
Along comes Richard, thinking that it was Paul & Amy that got killed, he finds out that Amy is OK, so he demands Paul's body. Not for some strange Other reason, but because Paul is one of their own.
A hole in this theory is how do you explain the disappearance of 2 Dharma people. But, it does tie in all that happened in that episode & Amy's strange behavior in the meeting about Sayid. She's knows he's not an Other spy, but she also knows he's not Dharma. Who is he? Who cares? Just kill him & get rid of the problem.
