So the Losties are now part of the Dharma Initiative.
Did they create a new timeline? Who knows?
The state of the 2008 buildings are interesting, the numbers being played again on the transmission (either cuz Rousseau didn't change them this time, or because someone in the last 3 years created a new tape) is interesting.
But what have we really know so far? Chang freaking out when the duplicate rabbit appeared. "Don't let them near each other!"
We've thought of The Purge as the Others destroying the Dharma Initiative to get rid of them for their own personal reasons.
But perhaps the Dharma purge was to ensure all the Dharma-Losties were dead before their originals showed up, to prevent whatever "incident" may occur if you meet yourself. Juliet, of course, would need to be the first to go. How would THAT affect Ben? Did he fall in love with time-travelling Juliet as he grew up, then has to "purge" her? Is that another reason why she was eventually recruited?
Is this the fascination with lists - to ensure that time-travelling Losties are all accounted for? Will the Island/world end if, say, Lafleur meets Sawyer?
What doesn't fit is then why did they need the Oceanic 6 to return? Do they prevent this? But now they're part of the problem if they're also in the Dharma group. Is there now NO purge? Theory by Jimbo
