Ok this might be a little shaky. But in the episode "Namaste", Radzinsky seemed to have all of his marbles, correct? He seemed very involved in the D.H. and was maybe in a leadership position. We don't know why and how he got from manning the Flame station to toiling away in the Swam station. So I ask you this, why would someone who knew exactly where things where and what he was doing write an invisible map? I'm guessing a little bit after he started working in the Swam he began to get some "side effects" from the energy(as stated by D&C in the latest podcast)behind the concrete and he begin to skip through time, and lose his mind and memory. He started making an invisible map to keep his sanity and to remember what and where things were. Why were there so many scribbles and crossed out markings on the wall? Working at the flame he would have to know the locations of all the station. So why were there markin! g stating the "probable location"
of certain stations and the "designation unknown" over the Pearl? Because he was losing his mind and forgetting things, similar to Desmond and Charlotte. As his mind deteriorated, he began to lose hope and his sanity. But with Radzinsky's personality, he could never allow this. He had to be in control he had to keep some form of dignity. So in one decisive moment, he ended it all with a gun shot to the head.
Just an idea :], let me know what you think. Theory by Alejandro
