I don't believe that Jacob is any character we've seen on the show thus far. Not Locke, not Jack, not Horace, not Sawyer.
The reason for this belief is mainly practical.
If Lostpedia is to be believed, the man who portrayed Jacob in the first Cabin scene with Locke is not an actor, but a crew member of the show, Rob Kyker. (http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Rob_Kyker)"Jacob" is voice by Carlton Cuse.
I don't believe we'll ever be seeing Jacob again as an old man for that reason. For such an important character, I can't believe the creators of Lost would put a random crew member on screen with actual lines. Furthermore, if Locke/Jack/Whoever does become Jacob through time travel, why use some random crew member to portray Old Jacob? Why not just use the actor that actually plays Locke/Jack/Whoever, and sufficiently age them with makeup/effects, as well as sufficiently hide them in the shadows of the cabin scene so that the viewer could not make them out? It could be done. But they didn't do that, they used Rob Kyker.
I suppose of one our characters could end up playing Younger Jacob, but then you have someone who clearly doesn't look or sound like Old Jacob, makes no sense.
I have no idea as to who Jacob will end up being, but I don't think he will turn out an older version of one of the already existing characters. Theory by AvidMilkDrinker
