There has been a lot of speculation about the identity of the statue seen in last week's episode, "LaFleur". Some say it is a character we already know. Someone like Locke, Sawyer, or Juliet travels back in time through another time flash, meets the Island's ancient inhabitants, and becomes worshiped as a god/goddess. Others (not The Others) claim that the statue is depicting something inhuman. They cite its inhuman ears, its funny looking hat, the eponymous four-toes, and its mini-skirt. These are all indications of some sort of deification of an animal, popularly found throughout Ancient Egyptian culture. It could be Anubis, but the ears are too small; it could be Taweret, but the statue is too thin; it could be Ra or Horus, but they don't have ears. Well, here is what I think:
Walt is commonly believed to possess some level of magical powers. He causes birds to crash into windows. He can change the weather. He can appear in visions on Island's halfway around the world. What if Walt is not the source of his own powers, but rather is receiving them from another source? I believe this source is Vincent.
Vincent cares for Walt, and brought the Australian cuckoo that crashed into the window to Walt because he felt bad that Michael was ignoring his son. Michael said that he wouldn't search for Vincent until the rain stopped, and suddenly it did. This was Vincent looking out for Vincent. I think he also sent a vision of Walt to Locke, knowing that it would save his life.
Vincent travelled with the rest of the remaining Losties through the time flashes. Either he stopped flashing after he went to ancient time, or some future flash will bring him there. Either way, just as ancient Egyptians placed the heads of animals such as the jackal (Anubis), the ibis (Thoth), and falcon (Horus) onto human bodies to turn them into gods, I believe that after exhibiting his powers to the Island natives, Vincent is immortalized in the statue. The body is human, but the head will be Vincent's.
You heard it from me first. The four-toed statue is Vincent. Theory by Shpilo
