Ben, Jacob, Widmore, Locke, Richard, the Black Smoke, Jack, Sawyer, Kate, Claire, Jin, Sun, Sayid, Hurley, and Abaddon can all be explained by Star Wars!
Lost will be six seasons, just like the number of Star Wars episodes. The powers that be have stated repeatedly that they are big fans of Star Wars. Jack steps on the millennium falcon, Sawyer calls Hurley Jaba, Jin Chewy, and Ben Yoda, Lost is a science-fiction epic about mysterious forces and the select few who can control them, the dead seem to communicate from beyond the grave, there is a war between good and evil, there are heroes and villains, ancient religions that clash with modern technology, betrayal, love, the annihilation of an entire group in one sweeping purge, and a unique cast of characters with huge cult followings.
The Republic= The Island. The Jedi= Jack, Locke, Richard. The Sith=Jacob, Ben. The Rebels= 815 survivors. The Clone Army= The Others. The Separatists= Dharma Initiative
JACK= Luke Skywalker. His supposedly dead father is shrouded in mystery. He is the hero who lacks faith in any mysterious force. He has some connection to this power and he is taught by Obi-Wan to believe. His enemy is Vader, they fight, he learns about Vader, fights the Emperor, he becomes the full Jedi hero, saves Han, has a sister that he didn’t know about, loves Leia but she loves Han, has visions of advice from Obi-Wan.
LOCKE= Obi-Wan Kenobi. He was recruited by Yoda at a young age to use the force, he sacrifices himself in #4 to help Luke, he speaks even though he is dead, he was betrayed by Vader, he is a good man who was deceived by the Emperor, he will guide Luke in his destiny to defeat the evil Empire and he is special. KILLED BY VADER!
RICHARD ALPERT= Yoda. A very old and wise teacher of the faith who has guided Obi-Wan, Vader, and Luke. He is fully introduced in #5. He seeks out the next leader, has been betrayed by Vader, can see into the future including death, knows about the Emperor. Dies of VERY OLD Age.
JACOB= The Emperor. The mysterious leader who lures a young Jedi into betraying the Republic, the Jedi, and himself by using the memory of Vader’s dead mother and his lust for power. He is strong with the dark side of the force. He uses Vader to control his empire. He seeks Luke Skywalker to replace Vader. He uses the knowledge of Luke’s father and his friends’ suffering to bring Luke back to the Empire. He is a master planner and can see the future. He orders the destruction of The Republic and hunts the Jedi. He was once a part of the Republic but he gained power by manipulation and deception.
BEN= Darth Vader. An ambitious boy with a murderous desire for revenge for his mother’s death, leads a purge of the Republic and the Jedi, joins the Sith Lord as an apprentice by defeating his predecessor Count Dooku, controls the empire, KILLS OBI-WAN! He knows Luke is important and brings him before the Emperor. He is a master manipulator. He can control the dark side of the force. A woman he loved died during childbirth. He is a great fighter. He is jealous of Obi-Wan. He loses his daughter because of his anger.
THE BLACK SMOKE= The dark side of the force. The power of the dark side is used by the Emperor and Vader for their own ends. When Luke goes into the cave on Dagoba, Yoda explains that it was strong with the dark side of force. It contains “only what you bring with you.” It shows Luke Vader and shows Luke as Vader. This is his truth and his punishment. It can haunt your thoughts and change your behavior because it is evil.
KATE= Leia. She is the initial love interest of Luke Skywalker. She always seems to get into trouble, she is stubborn, a rebel, she loves Han and he loves her. She fights, kisses, and likes to go along for the battles. A bit of a princess but not afraid to fight her father.
CLAIRE= Leia (sort of). She is the sister of Luke. Luke cares for and protects her from the moment he sees her. Her father’s identity is crucial to understanding her intuition.
SAWYER= Han Solo. His gruff demeanor and slick catch phrases make him a tough outlaw who is wanted by the Empire, Jaba, and Leia. He lies, fights, and flirts. He argues with Luke and thinks Obi-Wan is crazy. His sidekick Chewy is only understood by him.
JIN= Chewbacca/Han. A menacing character who can’t be understood. He’ll tear your arms off if you make him mad. He works with Han. Also was presumed dead but is rescued by Lando.
SUN=Lando Calrizion. Hates Vader for freezing Han, rescues Han, is a powerful business person
SAYID= General Akbar of the Republic. He was in the Republican Army, he is well-trained, was on the losing side of the battle, but now is part of the Rebel Alliance with Luke.
HURLEY= C3PO/R2D2. The comic relief in all this seriousness. He goes along the missions, has a good heart, annoys Han, is tolerated by Leia, doesn’t mess with Chewbacca, he is multi-lingual, good at chess but lets the wookie win. Has the worst luck.
CHARLES WIDMORE= Jaba the Hutt/Count Dooku. A greedy underworld boss who wants his power and will kill anyone in his way. He uses Boba Fett to bring people where they need to be. He used to the Emperor’s apprentice but he was abandoned and exiled. Hates Vader for taking his power. Forms the Separatists to battle against the Republic.
MATTHEW ABADDON= Boba Fett. The bounty hunter for Jaba the Hutt, he knows how to follow his target and capture them. He’s just a driver who will take you where you need to go. Dies a brutal death.
So what does this mean for the end of season 5 and season 6? If we follow the Star Wars plot (in a very general way), Jack will fulfill his destiny as leader, he will learn the truth about his father, he will confront his father and Jacob, he will be guided by Locke’s faith, Sawyer, Kate, Hurley, Jin, Sun, Sayid, and Claire will be in grave danger from Widmore and Ben, Widmore will be killed by Ben, Kate and Sawyer will get together, Richard will die of old age, Jacob will be destroyed by Ben, Ben will die in the process, and the ghost visions of Christian, Locke, Richard, and Ben will smile at Jack, Claire, and Aaron while the remaining losties and the Others join in celebrating their new leader, Jack Sheppard.
