John lock makes a huge revelation to Ben, telling him about Mrs. Hawking...
when he does, we can see (once more, since the beginning of season 5) that Ben pauses.
Pauses to think / calculate / connect points. sometimes in an external silence, other times surprised.
We all know that Ben's #1 aspiration is to return to the island. When he turns the FDW he cries
saying to Jacob "I hope your happy now..." he knows it’s going to be hard or impossible for him to return
after turning the FDW.
In what way impossible or hard? that’s what my theory is all about...
The big impending war is between all the forces trying to own the island. it’s a multi-dimensional war...
Soldiers that manipulate course of events using time jumping techniques (id call it "brute force course correction"...)
combined with a physical challenge of getting on and off the island (land post).
Now...not only Ben exiled Mr. Windmore from the island, he exiled the entire executive part of the DHARMA initiative.
The rest, Ben killed in what’s known to be the purge. (why? maybe the DHARMA execs knew what’s going to happen so they all ran to
turn the FDW???)
so who are the DHARMA execs?
Windmore, Hawking, Abbadon, Dr. Marvin (who may still be alive out there),
and many more that we know of or never gotten to hear about.
Ben, after turning the FDW, lands in the "exit" at a random time (we know it).
When he does, all the he wants is.........
to find the land post! (bringing the O6 back with him is not in the scope of this theory)
Had Lock never told Ben WHO he was told to turn to (Hawking) and WHERE (LA) is she to be found, the restless Ben would have
probably spent the rest of his life hoping between continents on a quest to spot a DHARMA exec who operated
the land post. Once lock makes the revelation, Ben no longer needs him alive. Ben kills John but not only...
I’d like to guess that the blood stains seen on Ben's face are from the battlefield.... Ben wins killing
Penny, Abbadon and Mrs. Hawking(?) leaving Windmore totally out of the game.
