Hello all, this is my first time posting on this website but I am an avid reader! I wanted to pose this question to you all, and correct me if i'm wrong but Charles Widmore stated in "Life & Death of JB" that he was the leader of the "others" (if we are still calling them that!) for 3 decades or 30 years. Well we saw him last time at around 17 so that means he left the island when he was 47, no? Penny looks to be at least 30 so could it be possible that Penny was born on the island and doesn't remember it?
So if we are saying that Penny was born on the island then let's think of why Charles would be banished from the island. I bet when Ben committed the purge against DHARMA, he saved Annie, his only true friend on the island. If this was the case, maybe when Ben finally joined the "others", Charles and Annie fell in love producing baby Penny which put Ben over the edge and caused him out of jealousy to banish Charles, Penny and Annie from the island? Desperately wanting a child of his own, he then stole Rousseau's baby and raised Alex like his own. This may also explain the "pregnancy" problem that arose for no apparent reason. This could be a way of punishing Ben for ousting Charles from the island. Give me your feedback! Theory by EriKa
