So, after watch the few episodes this season and all of this time skipping some theories I have come up with..
In the past when the Others starting taking people from the camp of the tailies, only certain people were taken. There was some kind of list as I recall and Kate, Jack, Sawyer, etc. etc. were not on it. Is it because they are already on the island??? When this skipping stops, perhaps they end up in earlier Dharma times, which indicates that they (our left behinders, Oceanic 6) will be on the island already when the plane crashes so only certain people could have been taken as to not upset the "balance" of time.
Some people have been born on the island (Aaron, Charlotte, Miles??, Alex), but were conceived off the island, perhaps the reason babies can not be created on the island is because of all this skipping in time?
Richard Alpert never ages because he time travels continously and I think he is ancient (BC times).
I think we will see Mr Ecco, Claire, Ana Lucia, Charlie and all those dearly departed again in season 6 in some way or another. Theory by bacongirl2009
