I have been bouncing all over the place with my thoughts on lost until i came across a website about some ancient libraries of alexandria which supposedly contained all the knowledge of the universe and existence
this website has many links that tie into the island. One correlation I make is that what is below the Orchid is a superconductor http://www.halexandria.org/dward156.htm no surprise there is a person name Michael Faraday who discovered phenomenon related to superconductivity in 1846. I also get the feeling that the properties that exist on this island may be in some relation to the fifth element due to the fact that the logo for Dharma represents the fifth element and time delay is related to the fifth element http://www.halexandria.org/dward124.htm. Also there are references to ancient mathematics which have theories on how the universe is connected, and also discusses connective physics which would explain how people who are dead are still communicating with the living. I know im not really providing my theory, i think i have found the pieces that in theory are real and could very well be the idea behind LOST. Im sure someone a little smarter than me could piece some of th! is together. With the addition of Faraday and physics i have no doubt that this is the direction they are going. Another topic which relates is this ORME,http://www.halexandria.org/dward466.htm it is also known as the philosophers stone could be the key to why Richard has not aged and another reason people want to find the island so badly. Also, the ancient temple and biblical realms may relate to the ark of the covenant being located on this island, "Hudson goes on to say that the Ark of the Covenant “was kept in Egypt out on the island of Elephantine, where they built an exact duplicate of the Temple of Solomon.” Graham Hancock in his book, The Sign and the Seal, notes that excavators have found, “on the island of Elephantine, the exact dimensions of the Temple of Solomon, where the foundation was and where the Ark of the Covenant was kept.” Anyway supposedly the ark contained ORME properties which explains it floating and what not, like i said im not smart enou! gh to put this all together but i find it strange that there a! re so ma ny ways that these topics relate to the show and could in theory explain some of what is happening. Anyway i could just be way into lost and trying to make something out of nothing.
