Hello everyone, this is my first post. I have always wondered how time has worked with people entering the island's "force field" and wondered if the initial crash of Oceanic 815 was distorted like others have been. The prime example is the Doc from the boat. He was killed, floated through the force field at some random bearing, and, according to island time, washed up before Keamy had a chance to kill him. Another distortion is with the payload Faraday asked for. Regina shot the payload from the boat, in a straight line, to Faraday, and the distortion was roughly 30 minutes behind. This means the bearing is totally random and resulted in a totally random delay. If you are reading this theory then you already know this stuff. But who is to say Oceanic flight 815 went through the correct bearing and crashed on the island with no time distortion? They probably went though a completely random bearing and sh! ifted in a certain way, like the examples above. They could have been shifted a couple minutes, like the payload, a couple hours (or days, not really sure, just going off memory), or something completely different like months or years.
Also while I'm thinking about it, the payload was smaller than the Doc, and the time differences could correlate to the size of the object entering the force field. What if a large aircraft came through the force field, could the delay be even greater? So to summarize, the payload was only minutes delayed and it was a pretty small object. The Doc was bigger than the payload and was delayed even more. So a huge plane coming in at a random bearing could produce a delay that could be years, maybe to a time when Locke was out of his wheel chair and Rose didn't have cancer. Feel free to rip this apart or offer some help, thanks for reading
