Well an interesting thought just came to me while pondering who was Christian Shepard speaking on the behalf of. I came to a rather weird speculation that Jack Shepard might be Jacob himself but seperated somehow by the time travel idea that maybe somehow the Jacob we "see" is Jack in the future while present Jack is on a certain mission to fufill without him knowing that he is in fact Jacob. Jack's family is in the cabin as seen before (Christian and Claire) so thats a tie in that his family is somehow involved. Jack is also a natural leader as the crash survivors look up to him. Maybe why Bentham(Locke) is dead and Ben is shunned off the island is that maybe Jack is the real leader of the island that needs to get back to his throne. Jack's tattoo means "He walks among us, but is not one of us." and interesting hint maybe on his leader like nature. Last but not least an interesting theory about Jack is that I th! ink that this is not the first time Jack was on that island and maybe he has been there before and somehow his dad is involved with the island thats why he has daddy issues, and also when the death of his father is known to Jack maybe he is so distraught because maybe the death meant that Jack "needed" to go back to the island. No body of Christian was ever found but we know he is important to island duties as is Claire of Jack's family. Another evidence of Jack having been on the island before is when Kate first sees Jack and she says something like "your not afraid, how do you do that?", and also when we first see Jack wake up in the Pilot, to the top right of the screenshot of Jacks head, it is clearly visible that there is a black cylindrical metal object that bears a resemblance to Ben's Blackjack weapon he used on those two Beduoins in the future in the Shape of things to come. Also when Hurley first sees Jacobs cabin, an eye is seen peeking through a window and the e! ye is not the color of Ben or Locke but a possibly older Jack ! since th ere are bags on the eye. Well I hope this will keep you thinking for the possibility of Jack being Jacob as its just a theory and I could be wrong but when I find more clues I'll post them up right away!
