Ok, this is a working theory and I don't even know if its any good, but here it goes. We found out in the "constant" that the conscious of a person travels in time and not the physical person. What happens to the conscious as it travels to and fro between timelines? I think thats where Smokey comes in. I think that we all agree that Smokey is the islands natural defenses, and we call it Smokey because it travels in cloud like form, I think that the conscious of everyone you comes in the proximity of the island gets caught in this electromagnetic cloud and bounce around, kind of like electrons to. Which I'm sure have more to do with physics. When Smokey decides to reveal him/herself, it generates its energy from these electro magnetic particles in the air, these particles or "people's thoughts" along with there fears and everything else, manifest themselves with Smokey, hence the whispers. I have listened to the whispers on this website and heard ! how random they are, almost like listening to someones thoughts. I think thats the trail end of the energy of Smokey materializing itself. There it is, its just a thought. That and a dollar while get you a cup of coffee my friends.
