-- Viewer Generated Plotlines, Lost 2.0--
This is my theory on why LOST has so many unanswered questions:
With all the rage of web 2.0 and online user generated content, what if ABC/Lost producers are adopting this trend to their television program? Like a "choose your own adventure" book, this would be the ultimate in user generated content, but applied to television. Just as seen with wikis, blogs and other web 2.0 technologies where users create/share their own content online, why not push this trend into other mediums, such as television and film where viewers can develop their own plotlines and endings? It certainly would be a way to give viewers what they want... So as LOST viewers voraciously disseminate their own theories online, could ABC be looking for ways to direct the plotline? Is it possible that SOME (not all) of these websites devoted to LOST theories are affiliated with ABC, collecting and organizing our ideas? It seems that with each show more and more mysteries pile up without many answers... so maybe they are fishing for ways to solve these mysteries, based on user input?
