Theory title: "The Lockdown/Computer communication Theory, by LoSTCoDe and FREM"
Hello everyone,
Lately Codename and I have been working on theories and we came up with one about the Lockdown Episode17, season 2.
That led to several ideas that explain stuff like the communication of Michael with Walt through the computer. We will also explain how and why that lockdown happened.
Here it goes.
The scenes:
1) Locke is in the Hatch and Ben is lock into a room. Locke hears some noise coming out of the speakers he then goes listen to them. He realizes that it is a count down. He start to panic and notice that the computer is enable and normally the computer only turns on when the timer is at 4 minutes, so the numbers can be entered. However, at that moment the timer was at 47 min.
2) The count down then gets to zero and the blast doors go down and Locke stop them with an iron bar and with Ben's help by putting a toolbox.
3) Locke then tries to get under but the blast door go down and gets in one of his legs. Therefore, Ben put some iron weights to stop the door from crushing his legs.
4) Locke then tells Ben to climb up the vent, go to the other room, and enter the numbers into the computer.
5) Ben goes and we do not really know what happens when he left (He really took his time for that…), but the count down stops and the blast doors go back up.
The theory:
- How could the lockdown been triggered? : Desmond and Kelvin use to fake the lockdown from the computer room not anywhere else. When Ben comes back, he does not come from the computer room. Therefore, the Lockdown had to happen some other way and we believe that it was trigger and stop remotely.
- Why, how and who triggered that lockdown? : Remember the scene where we see Mikhail on the TV screens from the pearl station monitors. He goes to the camera and turns it off. This means that he knows he is being watch! We know that Mikhail is located at the flame station and has many screens to look at the cameras and even the real life news. We think that Mikhail has been monitoring the Hatch all along and watched Jack, Sayid, Lock torture Ben through the cameras. This is part of Ben's plan being capture; he knew the others could monitor him.
- I noticed how Mikhail his really dedicated to Ben, we can see it in the looking Glass he goes all the way to his mission, to blow up the looking glass by sacrificing himself.
- Therefore, we believe that Mikhail faked the lockdown remotely, because he noticed while he was monitoring the hatch, that John was alone when Jack left, and that it was the right time, to make his move to contact Ben and ask him what the next move was. :)
- Many events can imply that the others have been monitoring the swan all along :
- Remember when Ben takes Juliet to see her sister on Mikhail's hatch (the flame) he told Mikhail get all the files from the survivors of the plane. Mikhail was already on it watching the news remember. Therefore, who tells us that Ben did not tell him to watch every moment from them from that moment on? Mikhail was always on the flame alone and I bet he did the job. We do not know how many cameras they got on the island and if those cameras were only on the hatch.
- Remember when Claire was kidnap and bring to the Staff station? When Ethan is talking to Tom, Tom tells him that he had to get the people from the list before getting her that means that Jacob or bea made the list of the people that they were going to get before Ben was kidnap. So, that means Ben already knew about Jack, Sawyer, Kate and Hurley, they already knew that taking Jack and company would affect a lot on the losties. That is why I think for sure that they were being watch.
- Remember the first time that Jack, Locke and Sawyer went to get Michael and Tom appear with the fake beard and tell the not to cross the line, well remember that Tom looks to Locke and said you open rooms that you were not allowed to open. That means that they knew that the losties were on the Swan. Therefore, it means that they watched them on the hatch.
- Who was in charge when Ben was capture? We also believe that Bea Klugh (the Afro-American woman) was in charge and came up with the plan to use Michael it was her idea not Ben to use him to save Ben. Remember that on the dock Ben said "I don't like was been arranged with you Michael".
- Since Ben was trap, she had to think fast. Maybe that is why she contacted Mikhail; she needed to know everything he watched so he could give her ideas. Remember in Enter 77 she was on Mikhail house and Mikhail only would let Ben enter to the flame (he was always guarding the station with a shoot gun) and maybe her too in case something happen to him like been kidnap by the losties.
- Walt and Michael communication through the computer: Bea Klugh and Mikhail improvised a plan, she watched Michael through the cameras and waited for him to get to the computer alone to put the numbers so, Mikhail or Bea Klugh would contact him as if they were Walt.
Another proof that they were being watch is that when Mikhail or Bea contact Michael as Walt, Michael starts chatting with him on the computer and suddenly Jack appears and tell Michael that they would figure a way out to get Walt back and suddenly the computer turns off and it turn on (at the beginning) when he was alone. Therefore, that means that Mikhail or Bea saw Jack getting to close to the computer and lost the communication. Therefore, Jack would not suspect anything.
That is all folks :). We hope we were able to convince you with this theory. We are working on other theories about Smokey as well.
