This is not an exceptionally comprehensive theory (as some of the others listed here), but I'll try to update it periodically. My goal is to put wrap some thoughts around the events during the Orchid Video. There are a couple events in the video that I think we should be focusing our attentions on.
1) First of all, the fact that the 2nd "15" rabbit apparently came out of nowhere. Unquestionably, it appeared to everyones surprise, including Hourwax, the cameraman, and the assistant. Popular opinion states that this rabbit is a clone. I don't believe this for a second (how many times do we need to hear that, from Lindelof own words "you will not hear the term 'clone' ever on LOST"?), but I'll support my theory in a second.
2) The sheer horror on Waxman's face when they saw the rabbit. After dropping the "F Bomb", he clutches the rabbit to his chest and says, "Don't let them near each other!" Why would he really care if they got near each other? I answer that with another question. Anyone ever seen TimeCop - the terrible Jean Claude Van Damme movie from 1994? The premise was that in the future, time travel allows policemen to go back in time to stop crimes (not unlike Minority Report). One of the basic rules of time travel is a realization of a common rule about matter - "Matter cannot exist in the same place at the same time". The movie showed that a person from a future time can in fact exist in the same time as themselves in the past, but if they were to ever make physical contact with each other, the Pauli Exclusion Principle of quantum physics take over and turns you into a melting blob of goo. And this is Hollywood's 1994 interpretation of what happens when you break a fundamental theory on quantum physics! No one knows how the creators of LOST will spin it. But regardless, know this: Breaking a rule of Physics has GREAT consequences in the real world. Forget the "melting blob of goo" - this is basically Hollywood saying "the public could not fathom the repercussions of this, so we'll make it easy on them by making one person die a gruesome death". Breaking the rule will cause horrific effect on the world as we know it. This is why I think Hourwax was so determined to keep the two bunnies from touching.
3) He also muttered "When did you set the shift?" to which the assistant replies "Negative 20!" It's hard to contradict that whatever happened during the multiple bunny incident occurred due to this "shift" that Hourwax refers to. This is the normal human reaction. Once they see an "effect", they look for the cause.
I think The Orchid houses a Time Portal, the "Box" Ben mentions. This, for the time being, is tested with rabbits. Supported by the "Casimir Effect" and it's associated time-travel theories Hourwax also spoke of (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casimir_effect), the "box" allows them to send objects back into the past. The "shift" is the amount of time that the portal extends backwards in time. I can only assume "Negative twenty" means "20 minutes in the past". Based on what the assistant says about "9 minutes", I can only assume that DHARMA either lacks complete 100% control over the time shift, or is still learning the ropes.
Many people have commented that at the time of this film, Dr. Candle/Hourwax/Wickman has full use of his arm, considering that his arm seemed to be made if wax in the Swan Orientation. Recent info has come forward that perhaps being close to the "same-rabbit-touching" incident has horrific effects on those in the area: http://www.thetailsection.com/lost-news/stick-this-in-your-canon.php . If Hourwax were to hold the "15" rabbit when it's counterpart somehow touched it, well then, you might just lose an arm! Hmmmm...
It's not a new theory by any means that what is being done on the Island is meant to save the human race. Likewise, I'm not the first to think the Losties are located in another time. But I think this video points to both those theories and suggests that's the course we're headed for in Season 4. In order to save the human race, the Losties must take control of the future, or past, to right whatever the Valenzetti equation has predicted. And in doing so, perhaps they need to free someone/something that is caught between timelines (Jacob)? Chew on that for a while.
If even a fraction of this is correct, I'm ecstatic about what is to come in S4.
