Lost has Layers Of Star Trek
The biggest Connections between Lost and Star Trek can be found
in an Episode called "All Good Things"
the Final episode of Star Trek The Next Generation
I was first tipped to check out this Episode by rujam on the 4815162342 forums
so I would like to offer some credit for this post to him. :)

All Good Things : Imo has Much in common with Lost especially the season Three Final.
This Episode has 2 angles
3 timelines and Picards Irumodic syndrome.(Neurodegenerative disease)
I think This is the Key to Lost.
Time Vs A Mental Disease, Allowing Viewers to take either view.
Time Travel and Insanity Often walk hand in hand in Films.
------
I’m going to try and break down how I think this Episode is connected to Lost.
Unfortunately Like this Episode of TNG some of the connections will require some prior knowledge of 'Star Trek characters and their history' to be able to fully relate to them.
------
The Episode starts with Picard thinking he has travelled in time and he is checking what the stardate is. Sound File
Its stardate 479 88
From Wiki
7418880 is the product of the Numbers:
4 × 8 × 15 × 16 × 23 × 42 = 7418880
7 + 4 + 1 + 8 + 8 + 80 = 108
If you treat the Stardate 479 88 in the same way.
4 + 7 + 9 + 88 = 108
You get the same result.
All Good things starts with (present)picard getting out of Bed and asking about the Stardate (=108)
Desmonds opening scene: getting out of bed and Entering the Numbers Into the computer (=108)
------
Picard gets a call from Star Fleet telling him something is going on (The anomally) in the Nuetral Zone and he must go there.
This Call sends Picard to the Devron System in the Nuetral Zone (Island)
Flight 815 departed from Sydney, Australia on September 22 (22/09)
------
All god things is about Picard’s Awareness Jumping between 3 points in time Present Past & Future.
The 3 times represented in this are not all part of the same timeline, and each timeline although Very similar has slight deviations from each other referred to by Data as "A Discontinuity between the timelines"
Continuity Issues
------
I believe The 3 Picard’s in this episode represent 3 of our Losties.
Picard Present = Desmond
Future Picard = Jack
Past Picard = Locke
Present Picard (Desmond)
The first Picard to be aware he is travelling in time
He reports his experience to councillor Troy
SoundFile
His experience can be related to Desmond’s
1st Desmond goes back in time
(Like Picard its more real than a dream)
He is later talking to his friend in a bar, and gets hit on the head, This is when I think Desmond transferred to the Future.
- - -
Future Picard (Jack)
Our First gimps of Future Picard (Jack)
Shows him bearded in a wine vineyard tending to his grapes
(Symbolic of a Bearded Future Jack with a Drink Problem.)
The Future Picard is Erratic and demanding, he has also been married and Divorced
(Much like Flash Forward Jack)
He needs a Lift to the Devron system and gets one from his Ex Wife.
(FF Jack has a conversation with his Ex Wife about getting a Lift)
Future Picard travels to the Devron System on A medical ship.
(Jacks FF took place largely inside a hospital.)
Future Picard is taking a drug called paradoxon to help with his Illness
(FF Jacks Drug addiction)
Picard is also mourning the loss of Dianna Troy, His ships Counciler
(FF Jack visits a funeral parlour)
- - -
Past Picard (Locke)
Past Picard is first seen with Tasha Yar Picard’s personally requested Security officer.
Past Picard was distracted by Visions (Of people from an Older episode) and Ignores his orders from Starfleet so he can go off on his own personal Quest
(Much Like Locke)
When Picard gives Orders to his crew that seem strange everyone stands looking shocked at his action Tasha Yar tells everyone to Follow his orders as she Blindly follows what Picard wants.
(Tasha Yar may represent Boone who attempted to guard Locke against Michael Like Boone Yarr died early in TNG and her death effected Picard much like Locke was by Boones death.)
Past Picard decides not to tell his crew about his experiences, He can’t afford to risk telling them of what’s to come.
Near the End of there Episode Tasha Yar(Boone) Questions Picard and wants an explanation.
(Much Like Boone did just before His end)
And Picard gives a Great speech to his crew
(Much like Locke did)
Extrats of his speech
------
In all 3 timelines Picard heads for the Neutral zone
(An area Between Starfleet space and Romulan space)
However In the Future it’s the Romulan space is now part of the Klingon Empire and is under Klingon Control. (A race of super Warriors)
(2 Factions of Others)
Governor Worf A Klingon who Future Picard calls for help, allows Picard passage into the devron sytem But only if he comes with him.
Juliet is Worf, In respect to Worf being a Kinglon who is skilled in Battle (Vs Kate) And she is helping losties.
------
The Nuetral Zone-Devron System & multiphasic temporal convergence in the spacetime continuum
(Island Power)
In the present, Dr Crusher reports that the phenomenon causing Geordie’s eyes to regenerate
Healing.
The pregnant Alyssa Ogawa looses her baby due to cell reversion
Pregnancy.
Geordie’s retinal tissue regrows itself, making it unnecessary for him to wear his Visor.
I think the Federation ships also represent the Island
------
Ben and the Others
I think are Symbolic of Q & The Continuum
Q has always enjoyed toying with Picard and making him Jump though loops.
From Wiki
Q is a mischievous, seemingly omnipotent being who has taken an interest in humans. Q's power is limited only in that he cannot overcome others in the Q Continuum. However, they can kill each other if they have the right weapons.
He also has a flair for the dramatic, with a mercurial personality that switches between a joking, camp style and a more ominous and even dangerous manner.
Q first appears as a villain, In later episodes, he becomes more of a trickster. Q evolved into a sympathetic, and sometimes even pitiable character.
While he is boastful, condescending and threatening, he arguably has humanity's best interests at heart, as seen in the series finale, All Good Things..., in which he causes Jean-Luc Picard to shift through time periods, giving him a chance to save humanity.Q enjoys goading humans, Klingons, and other races to display their savage side
Ben Likes to Manipulate The Losties and Juliet
I think Q's Child is represented by AlexST Voyager: Q procreates with a female Q he had previously been involved with, after being refused by Janeway, The child is born - Q's son causes no end of trouble for the continuum and Q turns to Captain Janeway for help. Eventually they agree that the boy will remain on Voyager with the Humans
From Star Trek Voyager
(Ben)Q's Child at first Lives with The Continuum(Others) But he(Q/Ben)can not control his child.
So He dumps his child on Captain Janeway(Rousseau) Whom he had wanted to be the Mother of his child in the first place.
Ben cant control Alex who lives with the Others
So he takes her to Re-Unite her with her Mother.
------
Future
Governor Worf(Juliet) allows passage into the devron sytem But only if he comes with the, on the Medical ship.... they arrive at the Devron System they know that 2 Klingon warbirds on on the way to their location.
The ships arrive and attack and easily overpower the ship, knocking its shields down.
The Medical ship surrenders, But the Klingons Continue to Fire
(Like the Tom and Sawyer scene)
Then Suddenly Admiral Ricker, who had refused to help, makes a sudden appearance and Kicks the Kinglons Butt.
This put me In mind of the season 3 Final Beach scene with Hurley coming to the rescue.
------
Picards Experience is a Mosaic picture of the Present Past and Future and only at the end dose he put the whole picture together and work out what he needs to do.(Helped by Q)
The End solution destroys all 3 timelines and leaves 1 New Timeline were there is No temporal convergence.
The Final scene shows Picard joining his Crew for a game of Poker.
Picards Closing Comments
One could read into this
He's talking about his younger Picard Locke (The Games master)
But He could also be talking about Both his Past & Future Picard's
Jack (Who Whooped Sawyer at cards)
Dose Q describe the Dharma initiative ?
Could this relate to The Incident ?
Supplemental:
Q tells Picard he is responcible for killing all of Humanity
S3 Final Jack:- if we don't do what you say you'll kill all of us. Ben:- No Jack, You are Ben:- If you makes the call he is going to kill every Living person on the Island
"All Good Things..." won the 1995 Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation.
If the connections Between All good thing and S3 Final are deliberate
It may suggest The Radio Silence we have atm, is in part because "All Good things...Come to those who wait"

Lost Whale Connection
As most of you Know there has been herd Whale sounds In the station where jack was being held at the start of season Three.
And One of the Smokie sounds is of a Humpback Whale Smokie sound
That sound came from this Sound file of a Humpback Whale http://www.compusult.nf.ca/ditt/sounds/hump3.wav
Also The map of the Island has a drawing of a whale on it
What dose this have to do with Star Trek TNG ?
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
Spock (who is still recovering mentally) discovers that the an alien ship is
trying to contact humpback whales, which unfortunately were hunted to extinction
three centuries previously. Kirk orders their hijacked Klingon Bird-of-Prey,
renamed the Bounty, to slingshot around the sun in order to travel back in time
to the late 20th century. Arriving in San Francisco, California in the year
1986,

Season 3 Episode 1: Relates In part to ST Voyager Blink of an Eye
"The Ground shook, I looked up and the New One was there"
During this episode the people on the planet try to send a letter via a HotAir Baloon The Letter is Asking Voyager to "Stop doing whatever it is that shakes our ground"
Bens First appeared claiming he was from a HotAir Ballon. He guided Locke to doubt the numbers and started locke on the path to destroy the Computer/Hatch.
A Member of Voyagers Crew (The Holo Doctor) gose to the Planet and Lives with the people on the planet, Only as an Observer.
Cindy was a Flight crew Member who joined the others Later she told Jack "Were here to Watch"
Those who Listen to The Official Lost Podcasts. Im sure you know about Carltons Banjo Playing. This may be because C&D are the Caretaker's of Lost. (Aka Voyagers Pilot Episode)
Despite the Large Number of Lost-Star Trek Connections
I maintain that Lost Is not Star Trek
Lost has Many more layers to it.
