I call my theory in that way cause it came to me as a flash in the early morning just when I open my eyes, it is not a joke. The theory is very large but I want to extract just a part of it cause English is not my language and It is very difficult to me to explain it. I’m going to explain just
Who is Jacob and what is his situation?
I think that Jacob is Christian Sheppard, he gone to the “island” (really a discontinuity in time-space) in the coffin but he was faking his own death by swallow an amount of pills (Why he did it? It is very large but I’ll try to explain it later on). Christian comes alive to the island but “someone” kills him and extracts his entrails and then puts them in several glass jars. The meaning of that macabre event is that on this “island” people could die but their spirits can’t leave the “island” cause here is no real space and time, just when a body is buried it spirit don’t walk around eternally, and the “someone” who killed Christian wants him prisoner in that bottles (We saw its are in the hut in “The man behind the courtain” ).
I think that there are more spirits on the “island” but they aren’t prisoners, we can see the hole full of corpses, Dharma members killed by Ben. They are walking around but transfigurated in animals (boars, horse, dog) and they are the whispers too, but they aren’t the humans apparitions at least not all the apparitions( I think these are the Black Smoke, a full evolutioned robot, managed by the bad Dharma’s members) and there are many “Others” that are walking around.
Why did Jacob this strange travel in a coffin?
Cause he was joining all the Losties on that plane to bring them to the island (Jacob’s list) to recover the control of it and he was in peril if “the bad people” discovered that he was on that plane. Unfortunately, he was discovered and killed.
The Jacob’s plan was to recover the island control , now is in Ben’s hands but there is more behind the curtain, Ben it is not the “Bad guy” but this is another story. Now we know that Ben is a Medium and Jacob is a spirit, but he is still trying to make his plan (through Ben’s help) It is a plan much more important than recover the “island” control.
Some clues:
Dharma Initiative- A group of American soldiers come back to the Korean war in the 50’s and ran into a strange island which really is a space-time discontinuity and they discovered that they can control the future. At first they were well-meaning but then a group of them begun to be ambitious and… Christian was a member of the “good ones” these wants to save the world and the “bad ones” (maybe Widmore and Mr Paik)wants to be rich with the things they discovered on the “island”.
Now there is a power game to recover the control between Widmore, Jacob and…maybe the “someone” that killed Jacob, we don’t know yet all the bad guys. (Or maybe we know him but he didn’t show himself as a bad one)
The Hatches-Its are the doors to the real world and have keys to accede: numerical in The Swan (4 8 15 16 23 42) musical in the Locking
Glass (Beach Boys) …
Losties- They were joined to recover the island control but the main plan to them is more important. Locke, Desmond and Charlie aren’t the same thing than the other Losties.
Jack- He wasn’t in Jacob’s list cause… I tell you in another life, brother! Or maybe in another post!
