Mistaken Identity Theory + Why Desmond is up a certain creek without a paddle.
So, back in the day, DHARMA ran wild on the island, playing with its natural abilities. Then along came the traitor Ben Linus and his group of merry hostiles and BAM! Purge.
So, we are at the radio tower and it's the end of season 3. Ben says the people have been trying to find the island for a long time and they are going to kill every living person on the island. - Now, I am aware someone has said it could be DHARMA on the boat, but what would they be doing? Maybe, just maybe, word got back about an "Incident" which occurred. The people doing shifts in the swan and pearl...who killed them? We didn't see that? So wouldn't it be a good idea for them to get help? Oh wait...someone has killed them....but it's too late, help has been notified.
What I am trying to say is the boat is DHARMA wanting it's land back and Purge #2 is about to kick off, only...these people aren't hostiles, they are plane crash survivors. OTTO, someone is in the "Right place at the Right Time" - as we have seen on many occasions.
What about Naomi having Desmond's picture? Well...she was hired by someone to "Find" him, but as we know, Mr Jin's Dad, hired people to do his dirty work (Hawaiian Shirt Man) so waht if she is there to do that, on behalf of Jins father and his business partner, Mr. Widmore?? That is what I think is going to happen - "When that island is found, Humes must be killed."
